Having back pain is very distracting especially when you are focusing with your work.

Before we get to some remedies, let’s dig in some reasons why you might experience back pain.

Besides direct injuries, back pain can also be caused by poor posture; lack of regular exercise or improper lifting. These problems can lead to injuries in your muscles, discs, or ligaments.

 

Here are some remedies that can help with back pain:

 

1. Daily stretching exercises

Stretching your body regularly can really help loosen up tensed muscles. Exercises such as child’s pose, forward fold, single knee to chest, standing backbends, & cobra pose can help with your back.

You can also do 30-minute yoga every morning to help stretch your muscles or walking on flat surfaces for 35 minutes.

 

2. Adapt a proper eating diet

Your eating habits also impact your body. Some studies have shown that having an Alkaline diet (eating foods that are less acidic) can decrease the chance of suffering from back pain.

Some people also rely on herbs and supplements to reduce back pain.

 

3. Have some oils and ointments to relieve your back pain

Trying ointments or pain rubs can also help ease the pain. Here are some key ingredients that you can are commonly found in pain relieving creams:

Brazilian arnica
Peppermint
Lavender
CBD
ketoprofen (Diractin)
comfrey
lidocaine (Lidoderm)
ibuprofen (Nurofen or Dolgit)

4. Maintain a good posture

Many studies shows that sitting or standing most of the day without a break can be harmful to the body. When you are working, sitting or standing, you should be mindful to sit or stand with shoulders back and to take rest breaks every 15-30 minutes if possible. Rest breaks can be as easy as changing positions, for example from sit to stand.

 

5. Receive massage therapy or body work at least once a month
